First day as a Sp student..

Last week was quite an eventful one i should say, primarily getting prepared for school which started today, more on that later. Last wednesday i headed down to Bishan to give my support for baby's bhajan which was like only the second time in a year i had the chance to render my support to the bhajan group.Coincidentally the last bhajan i went was at the same house on the same saraswathy poojai day. Strange. Expectedly i was a lil lost with certain stuffs and all but i tried my best to follow whatever i could and i certainly had a fruitful time there, most importantly im happy i could do something for a sister whom i never had and my gf of course. I need lessons on vesthi tying though. ;/

Sat was Roshini kutty's birthday, the lil one was so excited to see me that she stuck out her hand from the gate without opening it to get her present from me. Lol. Unfortunately for baby, she didnt get to eat all the meat that was on display as she was fasting and being the good bf i am i restricted my meat intake to just one drumstick, one slice of pizza and 3 prawns. *looks at baby* :P Its ok darling we will have a mini non-veg bonanza when your done fasting ok.

N finally today is the day i finally stepped foot in Singapore Poly to start my first day of lessons. I decided that i will reach school one hour earlier just to locate where my classroom is and thats exactly what i did. Haha,i found my classroom right on the dot after some misleading diversions. Anyway i was due two shocks when i saw my class, firstly there are just ten students in my class and secondly 8 of them are students from overseas. Well its kinda good actually having a small class and they seem like a decent bunch so theres less problems for everyone. I have a new friend, this guy by the name of Mohan who came into class with several piercings notably one on his lips and the unforgettable long tail comb at the back of his pants. Haha well at least he was friendly enough to come and introduce himself to me and he seems to be a nice lad as well. Today was certainly a good start and im already excited about the rest of my tenure in SP. :)

Let the journey of education continue..

I have been smiling a lot today, firstly because i went to Sp in the afternoon to finish up the final details of my enrollment and received my student card, which means im officially a student there. If u had asked me a couple of years back when i was enrolling myself into ITE whether or not ill be studying in a polytechnic in years to come,i would have probably smiled n said im not too sure.Even when i was studying in ITE,it was my dream to study in Singapore polytechnic which is well-known for its engineering courses.Today im just delighted to call myself a student of Singapore poly and i hope i have made my loved ones proud because i think its about time i did so. :) Right now i just want to obtain my diploma with a merit because climbing up the grand stage a couple of time to receive my awards in front of a capacity crowd has just made me even more hungrier to do it all over again. For those people out there who think you are too old to be studying instead of collecting your monthly wages, never say never because you are never too old to study.Let those tongues wag because eventually they will get tired of talking when u keep proving them wrong over and over again.Im exactly a week away from the start of my semester and i cant wait as i kinda miss mugging for my exams. :P Exams..Mcdonalds..Corner seat.. mugging...Laughter..Craziness.Sheesh i just realised i sound like my gf.Lol! Haiz those were the days,ok im sounding older than im already am. Next up i need a lappie..Speaking of laptops, haha had an almost embarrassing moment today. This admin lady from Sp asked me if i had a notebook at home so i was wondering why is she particularly asking me if i had a notebook at home something that is so easily accessible. Note:The notebook that i was thinking of is the notebook that we write our notes on. So i told her yes i do have and she was like ok if u dunt have one,you can get one through our dealers at a discount.. !!! Thats when it hit me that she was referring to a laptop. :D So i corrected myself n told her no i dunt have one at home and saved myself from further embarrassment. So if anyone can recommend me a good buy and at a discount would be even better, feel free to tag me up.

Like finally they have uploaded the pics in the Sinda webbie.

A very proud me with my best buddy,Mr.Mah. U rawk dude.

I needed something to spark me off, give me a purpose and a sense of direction or may i call myself a raw diamond that needed to be polished or should i plainly say that i was just lost in my own world with no motivation wad so ever.Thats when you came in,i cant recognise myself sometimes. What have you done to me i wonder. Vegetarian kisses all over. :) :)

Updating in progress.

Before i start off my post,i would like to wish all muslims a very happy hari raya puasa. :)

Sinda excellence awards at Nyp- 20-09-08.

It was yet another day that i will look back with a lot of pride. I appreciate the efforts that Sinda puts in to highlight and honour Indian students from Primary schools all the way up to those in Universities and also schools such as the Singapore sports school and NAFA. A certificate it may be but a memorable accolade nevertheless. :)

Finally Dhool 2008 has come to an end but i must say that im more den happy with who were chosen to be the winners. Justice was served with Aerocrats who for me have been the best group ever since they made their debut during the quarter-finals of the competition. I have never been a big fan of such local shows because i feel politics and stupid decisions play a part of some capacity but for probably the first time a local dance group has impressed and made a fan out of me. Congratulations to Aerocrats,u deserved every bit of the standing ovation u received.

This was my favorite performance as it was also one my fav songs of all time they were dancing for. Enjoy and be impressed.

Alas, trust the producers of Dhool 08 to shoot themselves in the foot once again by presenting Apsara Asia a 'special award' for being the judges favourites. Now i wonder if anyone saw that coming, not me for sure unless Apsara Asia are if rumours are to be true one of the sponsors for Dhool 08..

My sweetness will be fasting a month for theemethi so we made the most of our meetings on Sunday and Monday to get some quality time together.Quality time we got indeed,Sunday was spent at her place as the lil one Ashwin was staying over. Haha, had so much fun playing with him and joining him in the imaginary roles created by the smarty pants.Oh yes had delicious home cooked food to go with all the fun i had, thanks for the corn mutton mum. :) No time in the world is enough when you got kids with you and well i just cant wait to have kids of our own with my queen but before that comes money, stability and most importantly marriage la. Monday was spent at the theater as we made plans to watch Mama mia. . . It was certainly not my type of a movie, heck i know its a musical dedicated to the popular group ABBA but there were just too many songs. Yes it was entertaining and lively though the story line was poor so watch the movie only if your a fan of ABBA. The only upside was the fact that i had baby with me,her company always make my day no matter how rubbish the movie is. :P

The King signing off. . . . : >

Long overdued post.

I mentioned in my blog few weeks ago that i was going to blog about Thanthai Periyar,a man whose ideologies and reforms made a believer out of me and thoroughly impressed me. I will place the link from Wikipedia here and i think this is one good site that has given me all the details i need about this great man. So here it goes.
