Gong Xi Fa Chai to all non-racist chinese makkals! Pardon my spelling if its cai n not chai, anyway its the thought that counts right.Im currently in the midst of my 4 day break and i finally studied today. :) Yesterday was dedicated to my sugar plum who just came back from a chalet, missed her loads even though it was just a couple of nights she was missing.Haha.It feels so weird to sleep at night without talking to her as its been the norm for the past 4 years.Ok anyway the usual reasons on y a person fail to update his/her blog, workload in school has been taking its toll and by the time i plan to blog something,my body gives up on me.Nothing much has happened since the last time i blogged,a couple of meetings with baby, one was to the library which went better than planned. We have decided we should head to the library more often. :) N the other was to the new n improved Jurong Point, they really do have some spanking new shops there now.So many shops and so many interesting stuffs to buy.We swensened and walked around, bought for baby this sweet lil scarf tat she is yet to wear for me. 'Glares lightly' We stopped by this new seafood restaurant tat looked posh but the signboard resembled like the ones they have in coffeeshops,ok my point is they had all this live seafood in those tanks located outside the restaurant and thats where baby and i saw this really really huge crabs.Seriously those things resemble creatures from some horror flick,am planning to go there soon just to try those crabs. Hahahah.

I will be having my exams in exactly 3 weeks time before i have an even longer break of 7 weeks.I am pretty much confident for most of my modules,a B for most is certainly in sight but alas..After a bloody long time,i have been made to look dumb by this module of C-programming.Im like the weakest in class where tat module is concerned and i just cant seem to absorb those irritating data into my brain. Its not that i have not been trying and it doesnt help if ur lecturer is those boring ones who teach exactly from the book n goes at fast speed, goodness noes where he is rushing to.Most of my classmates have already done this module before for at least a good six months or so they dunt find it a problem. There you have it,my cause of discomfort in school right now,all i know is tat i have 3 weeks to sort it out.God bless.I actually thought i was going to struggle in my maths module and to think im doing quite well for all my maths tests. Life. Anyway i realise it not the time to feel sorry for myself, anything is possible if u put ur mind to it.Lets wait n see.
I found this in a Facebook group.

You know you're Tamil when your house smells of curry powder and spices but you don't realize it until your White friends come over.
I have no qualms about saying that it has to be an Indian soul who did up this list. I admit that yes some of the things in that list do happen but i find it dumb tat you actually want to do up something like this to embarrass your own race. Its actually a group that exists in Facebook and we have so many of our Indian friends joined there proudly endorsing such stupidity. Being an Indian is your identity, even if you are not proud of it,there are others who are. If u feel you are too good to be an Indian, jolly well change your race.
Approaching our 4th year together, seems like it was just yesterday i held your hand for the first time n i still get scolded for holding your hand the wrong way.Haha.Love you babygirl, get well soon.

Hello 2009 .Cya 2008.
N now to my first post of 2009.This new year was very much better than the last for me,the eve as usual was spent at home with parents and sister.Started off the new year with prayers at home before paying my grandma a visit, spent some time with her before going down to baby's place.I was planning to surprise her over at her place on the eve and spending the first min of the new year with her but baby already had plans. Nevertheless what matters most is that i met her on new year's day and spent quality time together and not forgetting my new year gifts. :P After that i went back home to get ready to attend a gathering at my auntie's place, that sums up my new year and i was satisfied with the way my year started off because i managed to meet most of the people who mean a lot to me. Oh btw,a million thanks to all those who wished me. Appreciate it. :)
Im not sure how 2009 is penned out for me but 2008 was memorable in its own right. The year 2008 started with me still unable to get over the fact that im no longer an ITE student, that's cos i have graduated. Its just that the two years there were simply wonderful as i have mentioned numerous times before.Anyway that was that and than i started work as a technician at the airport, the workload was high but pay was higher and in the first three months i worked there,i managed to improve my bank balance considerably.I would say that on the financial side last year was good as i could pay for things more often using cash from my own wallet.March came by and so did the troubles.Mas Selamat Kastari magically vanished and my reservist duties came calling.Meetings with my gf reduced drastically and the next few months were mostly spent in some remote island or some run down training shed. Those few months were definitely the worst of the year, without question.March was also the month where i got the results of my poly application and sadly it was deemed unsuccessful.I got to give a special mention to my loved ones who encouraged me at the point of time, namely my parents,my gf and my best friend. My dad suggested meeting the MP and to see how it goes from there and thanks to Mr.Alvin yeo and his letter of recommendation i find myself in Singapore Poly.July was my Certificate of Merit award ceremony, definitely one of the most proudest moments of my life going up on stage and being recognised as the Ite class of 08.August.Babygirl's birthday.Haha,i can still remember the look on her face when i surprised her on midnight on her birthday. One of the highlights of the year. :P That was followed by the Sinda award ceremony in September,it certainly feels good when you get appreciated for your hard work.I hope that will continue in the years to come as i know im not going to stop working hard anytime soon.October.I officially became a student of SP n the journey is continuing and im enjoying every min of it. :) N there you have it,a summary of my year of 2008.Good or bad,i know its going to be a hell of a ride in 2009 so hang on tight. :)
2008 wasnt the best of years for the couple i must say.Our meetings reduced drastically over the course of the year so much so that we were unable to meet even on Valentines day and our 3rd year anniversary and than like all couples we had some nasty arguments and the problems that came with it to content with. Our plans to have a mini getaway was stalled after the problem in Bangkok n etc.Amidst the problems,i can safely say that we got to know more about each other and that has definitely strengthened our love even more. Its true when people say things happen for a reason.I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to my gf for not being able to spend enough quality time last year and doing all those things we wanted to do.N thanks for being ever so understanding during my reservist call ups n for showing me all the love i needed during my times of distress.Ur special and im glad that your mine. :)As far as this year goes,we are definitely going to have more meetings and loads more fun.We have certainly had a good start havent we baby ? :P
Presenting to you..Our Holland Village escapade...
Ok i realise i typed a lot already so ill let the pics do the talking. Plenty more to be found in baby and my facebook account.
Many more to come. :) Library with Baby tomm. Grins.

Going Going Gone soon.
Belated Christmas wishes to all! :) Right now i just wish for my stomach virus to f-off so that i can start gorging on good food.Vomiting and paying numerous visits to my bathroom is hardly the way i want to welcome the new year. Grr. Today is my dad-in-law's birthday and sadly im unable to join baby and family for dinner thanks to the uninvited virus.Anyway i would like to wish him long life and good health to go along with his youthful charm, haha, and may happiness is what he experiences from now on.God bless you dear dad. :)
Christmas eve was spent with babygirl, good thing that she was on half day as we spent the rest of the day together like finally. :) Original plan was to spend time at her place in the afternoon before heading down to Dempsey road for dinner. Baby has been talking about Dempsey road for sometime saying that it has a lot of good eateries n so i planned to bring her there before my school starts.Haiz. That was not to be as we both totally knocked out and ended up waking at 7plus,the dark cosy room, the even cosier bed and the damn lazy weather seriously didnt help either. After the good sleep baby wasnt feeling hungry and since it was raining heavy we decided on catching a movie instead. N before we knew it we were at Jurong Point watching "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (God Has Made Us A Couple).

I have lost hope in Bollywood movies for some time now but this movie was just tailor made for me i felt.Besides the nice songs in the movie, the story line is beautiful without any sleaze and other rubbish. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish n i rate it better than Om shanti om. Love is a beautiful thing and its not about the extravagant things your loved ones do for you that matters but its the simple things. You dunt have to see god in the one u love but at least dunt show them your ungodly side and make their life miserable.Anyway loved the day n eagerly waiting for our next meeting, hopefully its at Dempsey road.Lol. I cant believe that im craving for dum briyani right now with a virus residing in my stomach. :/
School is back for me tomorrow and i cant wait actually, not that i have finished all my assignments n waiting to hand in first thing in the morning. Its just that ill get back to studying hard once school starts as i mentioned in my earlier post, holidays are just not for me.Holidays make me slack.I miss my international bhaiyas and chechi. Ok i would like to end my post by sharing something that i found on a friendster bulletin n surprisingly it made a whole load of sense. Cheers.
From a guys point of view:
We don't care if you talk to other guys.
We don't care if you're friends with other guys.
But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room
and you jump up and tackle him without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off.
It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there.
We don't care if a guy calls you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned.
Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till he morning.
Also, when we tell you you're pretty/beautiful/gorgeous/cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.
Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you.
The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence.
Yeah, you can quote me.
Don't be mad when we hold the door open.
Take Advantage of the mood im in.
LET US PAY FOR YOU! DON'T 'FEEL BAD'
We enjoy doing it.
It's expected.
Smile and say 'thank you.'
Kiss us when no one's watching.
If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed.
You don't have to get dressed up for us.
If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the
need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own.
We like you for WHO you are and not WHAT you are.
Honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's.
Or my t-shirt and boxers, not all dolled up.
Don't take everything we say seriously.
Sarcasm is a beautiful thing.
See the beauty in it.
Don't get angry easily.
Stop using magazines/media as your bible.
Don't talk about how hot Morris Chesnutt, Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us.
It's boring, and we don't care.
You have girlfriends for that.
Whatever happened to the word 'handsome'/'beautiful'.
I'd be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me with 'Hey handsome!'instead of 'Hey baby/ stud/ cutey/ sexy' or whatever else you can think of.
On the other hand i'm not saying i wouldn't like it either.
Girls:I cannot stress this enough: IF YOU AREN'T BEING TREATED RIGHT BY A GUY, DON'T WAIT FOR HIM TO CHANGE.> DITCH HIS SORRY DISGRACE-TO-THE-MALE-POPULATION ASS, AND FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL TREAT YOU WITH UTTER RESPECT
Someone who will honor your morals.
Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.
Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.
Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel.
Someone who will stop what they're doing just to look you in the eyes....and say 'i love you' ..........AND ACTUALLY MEAN IT!
After reading this something struck me.. Damn i really am lucky. :)
No matter how many English songs are there, nuthing beats a good tamil kuthu song.

Back for good.
Yes as my baby said,im back as a civilian for at least another 3 years. It was a mistake done by the very 'reliable' administrative personnel of the SAF in the first place who called me up despite my numerous deferment applications stressing the fact that im a full time diploma student. It would have been a lot worse for me if not for the intervention of my class mentor and a uncle of mine, saying thus i can put that episode behind me now as i look forward to a brand new smashing year of 2009. This is not my last post of the year that will be reserved for my own review of this particular year prolly later some time.
The couple watched the much talked about movie,'Varnam Ayiram' last week.Let me start with what i liked about the movie first.I liked the characters played by the parents,Surya and Simran.I mean im sure every one of u youngsters who watched the movie wished your parents were like that, they were like the model parents. The love they shared even at the old age and the way they potrayed themselves to their children was very admirable. I also found the scenes of the younger Surya's emotional scenes after Sameera reddy was killed very realistic and also the way he got over the emotional distress was well taken. One scene that got me really emotional was the near the end where the father Surya had passed on and there was this part where they had to carry his body away and the younger Surya bend over n kissed his dead father's forehead. That would make even the most stone hearted humans melt n i actually felt the second heroine Ramya acted better than Sameera Reddy who used her eyes more than she actually talked. Yes surprisingly for some i actually couldnt accept certain parts of the movie and the first part of the movie for me wasnt impressive at all. The one that stands out is the train scene where Surya will propose to Sameera.I thought that was typical tamil cinema whereby the love at first sight drama happens n it actually went one step higher in the movie as he said that he knew instantly that she was the one for him.I mean almost anyone would get attracted to Sameera reddy because shes beautiful so such scenes dunt really make sense.N in practical life such things just dunt happen,so ladies dunt wish for such things to happen like when ur dozing off in the mrt n some dude just pops out from no where, touches his heart n says i just know your the one for me or suddenly take out his guitar and sings a self composed song for u amidst the evening crowd in the mrt. Realistic ah. Pls. Seriously unless it was Surya you would also probably think hes retarded or something. :) Other den that, the movie was good because it defined wad family values is all about. :)
The favourite song of the movie.

In a matter of days time its back to school for me,sad to say i still have loads more stuff to do but i was doing some planning n hopefully things go according to plan. I dunno y i just dunt enjoy holidays now as i used to when i was in secondary school cos i feel it affects my momentum to study, once i slack i can really slack n the army call up didnt help as well. Tomm is a day im going to dedicate to my god sent angel who i really couldnt spend much time during my holidays n tomm is just going be US. I need to sms to the rain gods later to keep the rain for thursday or wad n spare us the misery tomm. Im just missing n missing n loving n loving my baby more n more each day,its just impossible to be without her. Its just hard to explain what we feel for each other n i doubt anyone will understand even if i write a 1000 word essay on it.Maybe i can just summarise it to just four words. JUST MEANT TO BE.I can be the lamest lamer ever and the most sensitive snob but she noes better than anyone else that i am wad i am and thats what she loves me by.
Angels dunt come much prettier than her. :)

N the show must go on.
Lets cut to the chase because i do have quite a lot of things that i need to blog about.First things first,im officially on a three week holiday if u may call it but the fact is im stuffed with researches, assignments, revision, extra lessons u name it.The shitty part is that im due to attend my ICT which bascially is a reservist training to gauge whether we are still in shape or wad fark. The ICT btw is from the 9th to the 21st and that eats up the majority of my holidays, its not the fact that i cant enjoy myself that im crying about but this 3 weeks could be priceless, its not exactly smooth sailing as far as some of my modules go so i could actually spend the time during the holiday perfecting myself. I tried applying for a deferment and as usual those high ranked donuts rejected it like as if tomm we getting attacked by Al-queda. My last resort is under process and that is to get a email drafted by my mentor which im going to print and show it to the CO when i report on Tuesday,im certainly going to fight for my damn holidays,u can bet your last dollar on it.
This week alone i had two tests,Monday was my Engineering materials test which went good till the last question which i screwed up but den again overall i should have done well.Today was my C-PROGRAMMING TEST!!!!! God have mercy on me and thats all i can say. Im just hoping i can scrap through that test n the fact tat i didnt have enough time to complete it. Thats why i said this 3 weeks holiday could be priceless for me. The remaining 3 tests will be after my holidays and i should be able to do good. Pretty pleased with myself though, getting an A for my report on Abortion, its basically pointing out certain key points on the report n talking about it.Ill be having a dialogue session cum powerpoint presentation on the same topic which im looking forward to. :)
8 weeks has just flown by like it was yesterday and already one term is over,i got to say overall it has been pretty good.Cohesive class, most of the lecturers are fun, great food,ie:Nasi Goreng at 2bucks.Wad more can i ask for.. :P
Now for some serious issues i want to get out of my chest. Firstly my deepest condolences to Mrs.Lo Hwei Yen,the Singaporean who was murdered by the ---------- terrorists in Mumbai. I do not know her personally but i feel the pain her loved ones must be enduring at this moment of tragic.Seriously what the hell is the agenda of this terrorists? Wad do they really get by killing all this innocent people who they have not even met once before ? Race ? Religion ? Faith ? God ? Patriotism ? None of this are valid enough reasons for this idiots to use as an excuse for the sins they have done. I have done some research on this terrorists and i have come up with the reason why they do wad they do. Are u ready ?
......
......
......
......
Its simply cos .. They are a bunch of god damn pea brain jackasses who feast on their own bloody waste n have sex with their own blood. Dats y. I seriously want to fucking spit in the faces and what this people stand for n tell them to their faces that they are the biggest losers walking on gods green earth. If im not wrong its the Pakistani terrorists who were responsible for the attack on Mumbai,India vs Pakistan, get it ? So now wad, they show their patriotism to their country by killing innocent people n you know what i seriously cant stand for,its those bastards who kill in the name of God,Allah to be precise. No God tells you to kill for your beliefs and if such a thing is written in ur quaran, bagavath gita or bible, its time u burn those books and start putting your faith on mankind rather den God.As a young man growing up,i have always hated gangsters and terrorists and if there comes a time whereby they need volunteers to come forward to get rid of this viruses i wouldnt mind doing it,the rage will always burn in me till there isnt a single one of this evil morons in our world.
I must say i have been impressed with the shows on Vasantham Central these day.The improved quality is pretty much evident with shows such like Bayam,Shock,Vizhigal and other info-educational shows.Kudos to the production team and all those responsible. :) I catch Bayam whenever i get the time and the 1st story Agali was pretty interesting and the acting was really realistic unlike the ones just years back where u didnt know whether the actors were laughing or crying. I actually wanted to blog about this particular episode on Vizhigal about our Indian girls working as social escort.Social escorts, wad are they actually ? For those of you who arent familiar with the term,it actually means 'The rich man's prostitute'.I do noe that certain groups of young guys and girls these days are seriously gone cases but i was very much shocked after watching that particular episode.I couldnt understand how careless and stupid these girls are to actually stoop so low for money.I simply am not bothered about how gals from the other races are but Indian girls and educated Indian girls who are involved in such a disgraceful occupation if i may call it should be slapped to their senses.Oh wait if they had any sense in the first place, they wouldnt be doing what they do. Sometimes i feel modernisation has done us far more harm than good,at least back than most women though submissive had moral values that certain group of women thses days have no idea about.THE MENare to be blamed as well,if they had not fallen prey to their lust for flesh, there would not have been such thing as prostitution or social escorts to begin with.Men for long have looked at as the ones who unfaithful, lacking in moral values and the wrong doers in a relationship with the opposite sex.Fight for equal rights and modernisation has actually brought the women to the equal demeaning ways of men. I stress the point once again of MOSTnot all.Its sad really..We can go on and on arguing whats right and whats not but it basically comes down to the point of whether you have any self-respect in you.
Baby..Baby..Baby.. You are possibly the only girl who can bring me to the extreme of any emotions. You can make me the happiest, the nottiest, the babiest, the crankiest, the angriest and get me to the lowest point i can ever go.p/s..the last two rarely happens. But there comes a point in all BGR that you will be unhappy over your partner over something n thus problems take center stage. This week has been such, some may look at the problem that happened btw us and may say it was stupid, some may say im at fault or my gf's at fault or the rest may say we both were at fault. The fact is i rather have no one say anything because i prefer that we handle our own problems and we areboth matured enough to do so.Im not sure if anyone read the post in my gf's blog a few days which was deleted on that very day,i understand she did it expecting a diff reaction from me but though i appreciate it now,at that point i felt our problems shouldnt be discussed on a blog. But its water under the bridge now because no problems can get us apart,i said this years ago n ill said it again,We are meant to be. :) The couple have plans on Monday, firstly to watch Varnam Ayiram and later heading down to the beach so i can hardly wait! Speaking of Varnam Ayiram,i understand it must be a good movie but im like getting sick of hearing how hot Surya is though my gf says that i will definitely like the father role that he played. Almost all the reactions i see on facebook or a friendster or a casual conversation on the movie turns out the same,Surya's hot, comments about his body, wishing he was their bf,seriously if everyone wants a Surya wad about the less good looking blokes.I rather people come tell me about the acting and whats the good stuff they can take from the movie. When i was telling a fren of mine that i was going to watch VA on Monday,he was asking if i was watching it for Sameera Reddy for which i calmly said no im watching it for the story line.He just gave me this look that made me feel i said something i shouldnt have. Why bother about Sameera jatti when i have the most beautiful gf a guy could ever ask for. Haha sometimes i feel im an alien.I just told him not to get fooled by what you see on the screen, the sweet demure looking Sameera reedy could be the exact opposite in real life.Which is somewhere around the truth cos shes considered a sex symbol in Bollywood,i didnt do any research online just news i gathered while reading india movie news. Anyway Monday Monday Monday is all that i can think about now n hopefully my army saga ends by Monday. Damn!
Bolt is out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At last ..
Yes i know im due a lot of updates.
At long last the Mancunian is back and back with a few updates on an otherwise busy period of my life. Ok where shall i start with now,Deepavali came and went just as fast. It was a low key Deepavali for me,to start with i didnt even had the time to head down to tekka, usually i will go down to view the light up and walk around the bazaar but alas. Ever since school started, i have been busy with that, trying to get a lot of formulas in my head. The thing with engineering is that Maths play a big part in it, i have been trying to cope and i think im doing a pretty good job and it certainly was encouraging doing well for my first test.So yeah school has been taking a lot of my time now and i was just waiting for Deepavali to over so that i can get back to focusing on my studies. Siow on ? Maybe.. Theres no looking back now.
Most of my lecturers have been a joy to work with, though theres a couple whom i rather not mention in case i get sleepy and start drooling all over my keyboard.
I had been rather annoyed with myself during the first two three weeks of the term because i have been going late for my morning classes and i made a promise to myself that those late comings will come to an end and im jolly proud of myself that i have stopped going late for my morning classes for the past two weeks. :) Im a freaking deep sleeper esp when i am tired so its annoyingly hard for me to get up early and it doesnt help that i sleep after midnight. Well it hasnt been easy as i have not been getting proper sleep prior to my morning lessons these days cos i know if i sleep den im not getting up on time. Well you lose something to gain something and i probably need like two major sounding alarm clocks before i can confidently sleep soundly again without fearing that i might oversleep.
My rather small class of eleven have been bonding ever so well, trust me its not easy communicating from someone who's from China and thats like the majority of my class but the fellas are really nice guys and the class unity is there now,its getting fun.
New commitments and all aside,my babygal is still an ever present fixture of my life and that goes without saying. Haha. The couple headed down to my best friend Reghu's place for our very own Deepavali visiting and thats where we met a wonderful woman in Reghu's mum. :) She reminded me a lot like my gf's mum, very hospitable lady whom we had so much to talk about. She certainly was responsible for me gaining a few kilos over the festive period as she never stopped filling up the rice in my plate n the muttons just kept overflowing. We had like a lil tour around Reghu's house and i got to give a special mention to his prayer room which was really gorgeous after which we set down to have another round of conversation and before we knew it it was past eleven. We bid farewell to the wonderful hosts for the day and a big thank you to you bro and your lovely mum cos we seriously had a good time. :)
After a long time the couple went to catch a movie,'The Coffin' to be exact..err seriously i have seen movies way scarier than that and the worst part of it all i still dunt understand certain parts of the movie. N being a typical Thai horror flick i expected loads more from the movie,oh well at least i fulfilled my craving of having salted popcorn. One of the things that my gf has got me addicted to.. Grr. Speaking of addiction.. Heres to you ..
